Snowmobiling is a thrilling and fun sports but riding safely should be on the top of your priority list before you embark on your journey. Here are a few safety tips for our visitors interested in snow mobiling in Manitoba:

  • Always be alert and attentive. We recommend you refrain from taking alcoholic beverages because this tends to decrease alertness and causes dehydration. You might also be induced to take dangerous risks and put your life in jeopardy.
  • Always wear a helmet. Period. No exceptions.
  • Know where the “emergency off” button is located in your snowmobile. It is located next to the throttle and in case of emergency you can press the button to shut off the engine instantly.
  • Use the rear view mirrors on your snow mobile constantly.
  • Ensure that there is nothing between you and the throttle. Nothing at all. You might lose control of your vehicle if the throttle gets jammed accidentally.
  • Lastly, stop once in a while to enjoy the scenery. If you’re in a group, stay with them.

Take these simple safety steps because we want you to be with us here every year to enjoy the thrill of snowmobiling in breathtaking Manitoba.
